Wednesday marks the death of Duncan Macrae

Wednesday marks the death of Duncan Macrae who appeared as Police Sergeant Davie Maclean in Walt Disney’s ‘Greyfriars Bobby’.

It must have been an easy role for the  Glaswegian actor to play as his father had been a sergeant in the City of Glasgow Police Force.

That same day Isobel Skeldon will be performing her ‘Legend of Greyfriars Bobby’ for primary 4 at North Berwick School, East Lothian. Isobel will be supported by Brian McKenzie kitted out as Colour Sergeant Scott plus Blue and Kit.

Brian and Isobel who were born in North Berwick are looking forward to returning to their old school to meet the teachers and pupils.

 

Duncan Macrae (real name John Duncan Macrae). He was born in 1905 and died in 1967.
