The Edinburgh Festival is now under way...

Shae Kuehlmann and her friend Jennifer MizbanThe Edinburgh Festival is now under way. The city is teeming with thousands of visitors.

The Grassmarket is now one of the capital’s most relaxing places to visit as the area contains so many first class restaurants and pubs. Although the long oblong square is no longer the commercial centre described by Eleanor Atkinson in her novel ‘Greyfriars Bobby’, the Grassmarket still retains a historical atmosphere as it lies under the shadow of the Half Moon Battery.

‘The Beehive Inn’ is situated just below the battery where the One o' Clock Gun was first fired in 1861.

This week’s photograph shows Shae Kuehlmann and Jennifer Mizban  who are appearing in ‘Shakespeare’s Shorts’ at the Beehive. The show is on every day at 5 pm except for Wednesdays. Shae, Bug and Jennifer took a trip to Backtracks at Tollcross last week to visit the Mad Hatter.
