Bombardier Allison Jones is back firing the One o’ Clock Gun bang on time on Mondays at Edinburgh Castle.

Allison who lives in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire cut her hand badly on broken glass while out for a walk with her Great Dane.

The workmen replacing the pavement slabs on George IV Bridge are also bang on target and both sides of the street should be completed in record time. George IV Bridge is a busy place these days as the constant stream of tourists heading for Greyfriars Bobby’s statue stop to snap the Elephant House where J.K. Rowling  the author of the ‘Harry Potter’ books popped in for a cup of coffee.

The Central Library stands next to the coffee house. Why not pop in and take a look at the historic building which was gifted to the city by Andrew Carnegie when you're in the vicinity.
