Maria Furbelli flew over from Italy last week to photograph the various places connected with Greyfriars Bobby as she’s written a book in Italian on Greyfriars Bobby the world famous dog.

Maria was absolutely amazed when she spotted the statue of James Clerk Maxwell with his dog Toby lying by his feet at the eastern end of George Street as Toby is the double of her dog Lapo.

This week’s photograph shows Lapo who was originally called Apollo. As he was not happy being called after a Greek god, Maria decided to change his name to Lapo.
