The snow has arrived...

The snow has arrived in Edinburgh just in time for the capital's St Andrew's Day celebrations on Tuesday.

This week's photograph taken by Tommy Robertson the Mad Hatter’s booking agent shows the outdoor skating rink and the Edinburgh Wheel in East Princes Street Gardens.

When the gales blew the roof off the school shed at Heriot’s Hospital in 1868, the area provided an ideal skating rink for the pupils. Although Bobby was friendly with Muscle Dow the school joiner, the gardener did not like the little dog coming into the grounds.
